ADISQ GALA
On November 1, 1998 Celine Dion hosted the 20th Adisq Gala ceremony, accompanied along with Andre-Philippe Gagnon, Rene Simard and Jean-Pierre Ferland. The ceremony took place at the Molson Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Celine wanted to make a big entrance to the ceremony, so the crew put together an impresive opening act. The opening song was "Terre", so the crew built a big wire mesh dome for her to ride in on from sixty feet in the air. Celine was using one of the outfits from the "Let´s Talk About Love". A humor moment came when Celine appeared there disguised as Moma, the character from the famous French Canadian TV series titled "La Petite Vie". And as Moma, Celine performed a little song. Celine also performed "S´il suffisait d´aimer" (in wich she was using a red dress), "Une chance qu´un s´a" in duet with Jean Pierre Ferland, and a medley in duet with Rene Simard with the songs: "Une colombe", "L´oiseau" and "Le temps qui court" and another outfit change. Celine didn´t win any award on the ceremony, but her husband Rene Angelil won the award for Impresario de l´année (in English: Manager of the year), once again. He has won that award 9 times since 1987.
