JUPITER ISLAND HOUSE
In June 2005 Celine Dion and her husband and manager Rene Angelil bought a 6,859-square-foot house on 3.7 acres, located in Jupiter Island, a town on the barrier island of Jupiter Island in Martin County, Florida, USA. They paid for this house $12,525,000 dollars. The house is located less than a mile from her previous home in Jupiter, USA wich was sold in 2002.

...> The House
Celine has said she and Rene always dreamed of building a house large enough for their big extended family. In May 2005, Celine´s Canadian firm, Renlec Management, filed paperwork to begin building on a 3.7-acre oceanfront property and in September 2005 Jupiter Island Building Official Jeff Newell said the $3.2 million in new construction was about 80 percent complete. Once the house was finished, the palatial home became is an oasis for Celine and Rene, their children, Rene Charles, and the twins Nelson and Eddy, Rene´s adult children and grandkids, and Celine´s 13 brothers´ and sisters´ families. The property features a titanic home swimming pool in the backyard. It´s an enormous water park which holds more than half a million gallons of water, feature water slides and is about the same size as two 50-meter Olympic-sized swimming pools. The estate also features two guesthouses, an underground garage, two pools, two tennis courts, a pool cabana and a beach cabana containing a small gym. The main residence, a 9,825 square foot two-story structure, has six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, an elevator and a basement for laundry and staff living quarters.

...> The Inside
The main residence, on the far east portion of the property, is shaped as a three-pronged cross centered around an octagonal-shaped middle area. On the first floor, the octagon includes a living room facing the ocean and separates north and south wings containing bedrooms and a sound-proof TV room. On the second floor, an elevator and staircase lead into a playroom and children´s rooms on the west side and an octagonal-shaped adjacent master suite on the east side. While the suite includes an outdoor spa, wide balconies and three fireplaces, perhaps its most impressive feature is a 460-square-foot master closet that rivals the sleeping area. The house also features a huge and modern kitchen decorated in white with white marbel worktop, and shelves, wall to wall. One of the living rooms, is decorated in white and is furnished with white chairs, and two long sofas. Another living room, is decorated in black and white with a modern style and features on its main wall, a huge picture of Celine, Rene and Rene Charles. The main stairs is next to a wall full of small family pictures. To accommodate her big family, Celine said she designed her kitchen and the main living room with an open floor plan and plenty of seating.

...> The Garden
The property features two pools, and Celine and Rene say the estate allows them to have an adventure in their own backyard. "That space, that lot, that beach, those pools are [for] when we get together as a family, everybody can have a grandiose time with each other", Celine said. "Everybody can soak in". Celine said that designing this home, which includes an outdoor waterfall and waterpark, was a fun and relaxing hobby. "I buy a lot of magazines", she said. "And I have a lot of dream files [of]... the best jewelry, the best homes, best babies, whatever". There´s a beautiful tree house, wich was designed with Celine´s 10-year-old son Rene Charles and her many nieces and nephews in mind. The property also features professional tennis court, which also doubles as a basketball court. Building the home´s large pool and lazy river was a big undertaking and took a long time, Celine said.

...> Old House & Re-Construction
Celine´s Canadian firm, Renlec Management bought the property in June 2005 for $12.5 million. At the time, the land contained a two-story home, two-story guesthouse and a pool, but all the structures were leveled for Celine´s estate.

West Palm Beach Architect Roger P. Janssen´s plans for the new estate reveal tropical-themed architecture with wide verandas and balconies, cupolas atop copper roofs, French doors and white Bahama shutters.

...> Legal Problems
A room in the house was suppose to be an octagon until her architect allegedly said "Her octagon won´t go on". This octagon mess all started to take shape after Celine asked for one room, not a whole house, but just one room, to be octagonal facing the beach. The Delray architect Randall Stofft said no to the ocatagon. She fired him. He put a lien on the house. Now reportedly "Dion´s suing Stofft for allegedly causing delays as long as a year on her $3.2 million home construction. She wanted damages, too, to the tune of a quarter mil. Celine reportedly fired Stofft in 2006, he put a lien on the property claiming she owes him money, but she has paid him $116,502 already.

...> The Sale
In August 2013 was announced that Celine Dion and Rene Angelil were selling her residence in Jupiter Island, Florida, USA for $72.5 Million dollar. Real state broker Joseph Montanaro is handling the sale of the property. Montaro said that Celine is selling the property because she´s going to be spending more time in Las Vegas, USA where her Caesars Palace show contract has been extended until 2019. Celine didn´t respond to requests for comment. Celine and her husband and manager, Rene Angelil have decided to sell the house as they only spend less than a month each year in the luxurious resort. In April 2014, Celine and Rene dropped the price on her sprawling Florida estate by $10 million. Originally listed at $75.5m in September 2013, the star reportedly believes the discount will ensure a quick sale, as the home has already attracted buyers from across the world.

LAVAL HOUSE
In 1999 Celine Dion and her husband and manager, Rene Angelil bought a private island (the "l´île Gagnon" or Gagnon Island) with an old house on it, located in Laval, a city and a region in southwestern Quebec, Canada (north of Montreal). In 2001 Celine and Rene built a new and bigger house, replacing the former one. This magnificent stone mansion was custom built by one of the world´s most illustrious entertainers and her family. The reconstruction consisted of redesign and renewing the exterior and interior of the house. Celine and Rene also improved all the park around the house.

On July 25, 2001 Celine´s son Rene-Charles Dion Angelil was baptized at the Basilica Notre-Dame in Montreal, Canada. She baptized her six-month-old "prince'' Rene-Charles at a sober Catholic ceremony preceded by a publicity frenzy with all the glitter of a Hollywood premiere. After the ceremony, a lavish but private party with guests was held at this property, in wich a huge white marquee was mounted in the garden of the island. Even a carousel in the extreme right of the island was the main attraction of the children.

Despite the precautions, in 2009 a 41-year-old man was arrested outside the island for allegedly following the singer. The man reportedly pressed the intercom at the mansion´s front gate and demanded to see Celine or her husband Rene. After he refused to leave, security officers called the police. The man ran away, but was arrested a short time later when he returned to Celine´s house. He was sent to hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. Celine didn´t any comment on the frightening ordeal.

...> The Sale
In May 2012 was announced that Celine and Rene were selling this house. According to Rene, the sale comes thanks to Celine´s three-year residency at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA and their US-based children, 11-year-old Rene Charles and 19-month-old twins, Nelson and Eddie. "We are mostly in Florida, Rene-Charles goes to school here", Rene told TVNZ, referring to the pair´s other island property, a mansion on Jupiter Island with a water park. "And of course there are commitments in Vegas because of Celine". Sotheby´s International Realty in Quebec broker Joseph Montanaro handled the sale of the property, which is protected by private fencing, though tourists often rent boats to approach the island take pictures of the house. Although the family spend a lot of their time in the USA, Rene insisted they are not leaving Canada completely and plan to look for another property in the country. Finally, in September 2013 was announced that the house was bought. Although it´s unknown who bought the luxurious home and how much he or she offered, the asking price was almost $30 million, according to USA Today. She decided to sell off the property, as well as her $72 million Jupiter Island compound, due to her "intensive performance schedule" in Las Vegas, USA according to the National Post.

They gave them a beautiful suite and Celine explained that it was her fault the house was not finished yet.
