ON MEETING
On April 4, 1998 Celine Dion met with a very lucky fan named Betty, from Pungoteague,Virginia USA. Celine and her husband, Rene Angelil, were photographed with the fan Betty and her husband Paul.

ON MAGAZINE
On April 4, 1998 Celine Dion appeared on the cover of the famous magazine "7 Jours", published in Quebec, Canada. The photo of the cover was taken from a special photo session made by Celine to help promote the theme song from the film "Titanic", "My heart will go on".

ESSENCE AWARDS
On April 10, 1998 Celine Dion attended to the 11th Annual Essence Awards ceremony, highlighting the contributions of outstanding African-Americans, wich took place at the Madison Square Garden in New York, USA. The show was broadcasted on May 21, 1998 in USA. Celine performed the song "Treat her like a lady" in duet with Diana King. They were dancing with chairs, it was a very cool performance. The ceremony was hosted by Vivica A. Fox, Eriq La Salle and Lynn Whitfield. It was produced by Fox Broadcasting Company, Bob Bain Productions and Essence Television Productions. Other artists as Michael Bolton, Mariah Carey, Bill Cosby, Gaynell Colburn, Lisa Nicole Carson and many others, also attended to the show. On backstage, Celine was photographed.

ON REHEARSAL
On April 14, 1998 Celine Dion was on rehearsal for the VH1 benefit concert titled "Divas Live", wich took place that night at the Beacon Theater in New York, USA. Celine came to the theatre with her manager and husband, Rene Angelil. During the rehearsals, Celine performed the song "The reason" in duet with singer Carole King. Celine also performed "River deep, mountain high" and "My heart will go on". Gloria Estefan, Aretha Franklin, Shania Twain and Mariah Carey also were there. At the end of the rehearsals, the divas were photographed all together.

On April 16, 1998 Celine Dion appeared on the cover of the famous magazine "Paris Match", published in France.

OFFICER OF THE ORDER OF QUEBEC
On April 30, 1998 Celine Dion received the title of "Officer of the Order of Quebec", termed officially in French as l´Ordre national du Québec, and in English abbreviation as the Order of Quebec, a civilian honour for merit in the Canadian province of Quebec. Celine received the honour during a ceremony wich took place in Ottawa, Canada. Celine was accompanied by her husband, Rene Angelil. During the ceremony, Celine declared "This is a free country", in the presence of the premier of Quebec, who had presented her with the decoration, "and today´s occasion has nothing to do with politics. If I´m being granted this honour, it is by the people, and whether it is through the government of Quebec, Canada, or France it makes no difference".




























ON BACKSTAGE
In April 1998 Celine Dion taped a TV special titled "La Soirée Spéciale: Céline Dion", wich was broadcasted on April 25, 1998 on TF1 channel in France. On backstage, Celine was photographed with singer Diana King, one of the guests of this TV special.
