PHOTO SESSION
On December 1, 1996, Celine Dion taped a New Year´s Eve show named "Faites La Fête", hosted by Michel Drucker and broadcasted on December 31, 1996 on France 2 channel in France. After the taping, Celine and her husband Rene Angelil posed for a photo session. One of these photos was used on the cover of the magazine "Hits", published on December 23, 1996.
BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS
On December 4, 1996 Celine Dion took part at the Billboard Music Awards Ceremony, which took place in Las Vegas, USA. The ceremony was hosted by Chris Rock, directed by Bruce Gowers and produced by Bob Bain Productions, Fox Square Productions, Bob Bain and Michael Levitt. Celine performed the song "All by myself". She was accompanied by her husband, Rene Angelil. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Toni Braxton, Brooks & Dunn, Mariah Carey, Carrot Top, Dishwalla, Daisy Fuentes, David Herman, Jewel, Donna Lewis, LL Cool J, Nasir Jones, New Edition and many other artists also attended to the ceremony. The ceremony was aired live on FOX channel in USA.
ON TV SHOW
On December 7, 1996 Celine Dion appeared on the famous American late-night talk show "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno", hosted by Jay Lano and aired on NBC channel in USA. Celine was interview and she also performed the song "All by myself", from the album "Falling Into You". During the interview, Celine talked about her perfomance at the Billboard Awards Ceremony three days before, among other things.
PRESS CONFERENCE
On December 17, 1996, on the day of their wedding anniversary, Celine Dion and her husband, Rene Angelil, gave a press conference in Montreal, Canada announcing she has sold more than 18 millions copies of the album "Falling Into You" around the world. During the conference, Celine received a diamond record for over one million copies sold in Canada of that same album. She was the first artist to get such record for 2 consecutive (English-speaking) albums. Celine told to the press that Celine will be on the big screen in two years. All the big bosses from Sony USA (550 Music) and Sony International came to Montreal to present Celine greetings and plaques. Celine also won a special award from Radio France International (RFI), the "RFI/Conseil francophone de la chanson" award, for having been voted the prefered singer by the listeners of RFI, worldwide. Sony Canada announced that Celine has an impressive total of 55 platinum records in Canada. That figure is obtained by counting all the platinum ones of course, but also the diamond ones (worth 10x platinum). Celine also performed at the conference.
TV SPECIAL
On December 17, 1996 Celine Dion appeared during the broadcast of the TV special titled "Le Pouvoir D´un Rêve" (meaning "The Power The Dream" in English, in reference to the same name song that Celine performed at the opening ceremonies of the 100th Olympic Games in Atlanta, USA). During this Tv special, Celine appears doing exercises with the Canadian Olympic Team. Celine was invited to practice natation and other sports with the entire team. Celine was accompanied by Annie-Pelletier, a female diver from the Canadian team. They also broadcasted footage from a concert of Celine in Las Vegas, where she invited Annie-Pelletier.

On December 23, 1996 Celine Dion and the popular French journalist and TV host, Michel Drucker appeared on the cover of the TV guide "Télé 7 Jours". The photo was taken during the taping of the special New Year´s Eve show entitled "Faites La Fete", wich was hosted by Michel Drucker and it was broadcasted on December 31, 1996 on France 2 channel in France.
