CONCERT IN LAS VEGAS
On May 8, 2005 Celine Dion performed at the Colosseum of the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA with the highly successful show "A New Day...". She dedicated this special Mother´s Day perfomance to raise money for the victims of the Asian tsunami. Proceeds from the May 8, 2005 show, totaling more than $1,029,714 were donated to UNICEF´s Tsunami Recovery Fund to help with relief and reconstruction efforts in the tsunami-affected region. The evening´s event was hosted by Master of Ceremonies and Honorary Committee Member Larry King. At the end of the performance, Celine and King presented UNICEF President USA, Charles J. Lyons and UNICEF President, Canada, David Agnew, with a donation check. The show exceeded it expectations to raise over one million dollars from show proceeds, sponsorship packages, a special commemorative program book, collection boxes in the Carsars Palace and a silent auction preceding the show that evening to help the families who have suffered as a result of the tragedy. The special event was chaired by Celine with her husband Rene Angelil, and co-chaired by Caesars Palace President Mark Juliano with his wife Jacqueline Juliano, and AEG President and CEO Timothy J. Leiweke with his wife Bernadette Leiweke. Honorary Chairpersons President George H.W. Bush and President William Jefferson Clinton gave a pre-recorded address and with some of the most respected VIP´s and celebrities from the entertainment world and government endorsed this fundraising effort and lent their names in support.

OPERATION ENFANT SOLEIL TELETHON
On June 5, 2005 CelineDion appeaed on the brodcast of the Quebec´s "8th Operation Enfant Soleil" Telethon, wich was aired on TVA channel. The telethon aims at bringing some "sunshine" to sick children in Quebec, Canada. Celine was one of the artists who took part in the event to help raise funds to improve the lives of sick children. Celine´s appearance, was via satellite from the Colosseum of the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA, where she was performing with the highly successful show "A New Day...". She performed "What a wonderful world". Before her perfomance, theyalso broadcasted a video message sent by Celine, recorded at her dressing room in the Caesars Palace.

LIVE 8 CONCERT
On July 2, 2005 Celine Dion took part at the "Live 8" Concert, a string of benefit concerts that took place in the G8 states and in South Africa. Celine as one of the Canadian stars who took part at the "Canadian Live 8", a concert that aims at making people and governments aware of the poverty plaguing many Third-World countries. Celine´s perfomanc was a pre-taped performance recorded on June 25, 2005 at the Colosseum of te Caesars Palace whie a oncer of the highly successful show "A New Day...". She performed the song "Love can move mountains". Before performing, Celine sent a message to viewers around the world. The "Canadian Live 8" was broadcasted on CTV channel.

LAS VEGAS 100TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW
On July 7, 2005 the city of Las Vegas, USA celebrates its 100th anniversary. For the event, the Travel Channel, aired a special TV show where Celine Dion appeared with the song "I´m alive" from the highly successful show "A New Day...", at the Colosseum of the Caesars Palace. At the end of Celine´s perfomance, they broadcasted a video message from Celine, recorded at her dressing room in the Caesars Palace.

CONCERT IN LAS VEGAS
On September 28, 2005 Celine Dion performed at the Colosseum of the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA with the highly successful show "A New Day...". On this night, the contestants of the famous French-Canadian TV show "Star Académie" attended the show. During the concert Celine talked about the TV show and introduced the contestants in the audience. Then, she dedicated the song "Pour que tu m´aimes encore" to the contestants. After the concert, the contestants met Celine at her dressing room. Footage from the concert and the meeting was shown during an episode of "Star Académie", broadcasted on on October 15, 2005 on TVA channel in Quebec, Canada.
