On December 5, 1994 Celine Dion performed at the Nakano Sun Plaza Hall, a concert hall at the Nakano Sun Plaza Hotel in Tokio, Japan with "The Colour Of My Love Tour". The next day, Celine performed again at the Nakano Sun Plaza Hall in Tokio.
A GALA FOR THE PRESIDENT
On December 7, 1994 Celine Dion took part at the "A Gala for the President", an special gala-concert wich took place at the Ford´s Theatre in Washington, D.C, USA and it was broadcasted on ABC channel in USA. USA President Bill Clinton and Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton were the guests of honor for an evening of contemporary music and comedy. The show was hosted by American comedienne, actress, singer-songwriter political activist, and talk show host Whoopi Goldberg. Celine performed the song "The power of love". Kenny G, Little Richard, Paula Poundstone, Paul Reiser, Luther Vandross, Sam Waterston, William Jefferson Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Al Gore, Tipper Gore, Colin Powell and many other artists also took part on the show. After the show, Celine met President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton. The show was produced by Frankie Hewitt and it was directed by Jeff Margolis.
DAVID FOSTER & FRIENDS GALA
On December 12, 1994 Celine Dion took part at the "David Foster & Friends Gala", a Christmas benefit concert for children, wich took place at the Victoria Memorial Arena Centre in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The orchestra was Victoria Symphony Orchesta, and the conductor was William Ross. David Foster´s band also includes Brian Newcombe on bass, Bill Sample on keyboards, Morry Stearns on keyboards, Dane DeViller on guitar, Dave Boruff on sax, and Daryl Bennet on drums. First, dressed in red, Celine performed "The colour of my love". Then she performed the classic Christmas song "The Christmas song" while David Foster accompanied her playing the piano. For the finale, Celine joined Warren Wiebe and other artists to perform the original theme song "Love lights up the world". Kenny G, Paul Anka, John Parr and many others also performed at this concert. The concert was also a TV show production entitled "For the Children", a David Foster Foundation charity event.
RECHERCHE POUR LES ENFANTS MALADES TÉLETHON
In December 1994 Celine Dion performed the song "Quand on n´a que l´amour" at the Recherche Pour Les Enfants Malades Télethon, a benefit event to raise money for help cure diseases of children. This telethon was broadcasted in Quebec, Canada.
CCFF BENEFIT
In late December 1994, just few days before the marriage, Celine Dion performed at the Palais des Congres in Montreal, Canada in a benefit concert to raise money for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CCFF) in Canada. Over 3000 people attended to the show, and more than $180.000 was raised.
