On November 2, 2007 Celine Dion took part on the Gala of the famous TV show "Star Aademy", broadcasted on TF1 channel in France. During the backstage of the taping, Celine was interviewed by Herby Moreau for a segment aired during the broadcast of the TV show "Star Système" on TVA channel in Canada. Moreau also interviewed Celine´s husband Rene Angelil. They also broadcasted footage of Celine signing autographs and on rehearsals, where Celine sang a little piece of the famous Donna Summer hit "Last dance".

On November 2, 2007 Celine Dion took part at the famous and highly successful television show "Star Academy", hosted by Nikos Aliagas and broadcasted on TF1 channel in France. During the Gala, Celine performed "Taking chances", "Immensite" in duet with Alexia (one of the contestants of the show) and "J´irai ou tu iras" in duet with Piere (another contestant of the show). The contestants also performed a medley with songs of Celine. Celine joined them at the end of the medley performing the song "Je ne vous oublie pas" with all the contestants. On November 4, 2007 Celine Dion took part at the World Music Awards in Monaco. She arrived to the red carpet accompanied by her husband, Rene Angelil. WORLD MUSIC AWARDS
On November 4, 2007 Celine Dion took part at the World Music Awards Ceremony, wich took place in Monaco for the first time in several years. The awards were presented based on record sales rather than any vote. All proceeds from the evening were donated to the construction of a hospital in Darfur. The show was hosted by Julian McMahon. Celine received a very special award, the "Legend Award". The Prince, Albert from Monaco, gave her the award. The tiny principality´s Prince Albert said Celine´s voice "soothes the world´s hearts and creates smiles of love across the face of the world". Recalling her start as the youngest performer among 14 musical siblings, Celine dedicated the award to her family. "Every time I go on stage, it´s all of them going on stage with me", she said in her acceptance speech in English and French. Then, Celine performed the new song "Taking chances", the first single from her forthcoming album of the same name. Nightwish, Akon, Amr Diab, Avril Lavigne, Cascada, Ciara, Laura Pausini, Maná, Rihanna and many others also performed at the ceremony.

Celine, as the godmother of the third edition of these awards, was nominated in 3 categories. Celine didn´t won any awards, but she was honored by Michel Drucker with a special "Prix Les étoiles", for her 25-year career. "I´m lucky as a performer to reach a big range of people. I don´t take a close look at my schedule because it´s quite hectic, but I´m not complaining". Celine wowed the audience performing the song "Taking chances". She stopped chatting long enough to watch Chris Brown´s performance on a backstage monitor. She hung on the microphone and swayed to the music as the R&B hotshot performed "Kiss, kiss" with T-Pain. "Oh my God!" Celine shrieked as Brown ended up in the rafters attached by cables while performing Michael Jackson-esque dance moves. "It´s amazing. He´s the most brilliant dancer. I wonder if he comes up with his own choreography", she said. Celine had admirers of her own among the other performers. "I´m a closet Celine Dion fan", said Chris Daughtry, the former "American Idol" contestant who won three trophies. Singer Kid Rock poked fun at his brawling reputation at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles when he picked a fight with show host, comic Jimmy Kimmel. Kid Rock pretended to be upset when he returned to his seat at the AMAs to find Kimmel had taken his place, next to Celine. Angry Rock snapped, "You´re in my seat, get up", prompting Kimmel, who then put his arm around Celine, to retort, "I know what this is about; just because Celine and I were married and you and Celine were married too doesn´t mean there has to be trouble between us". (Remembering what happened at the MTV Video Music Awards in last September, 2007 when Kid Rock had a spat with Tommy Lee, both married with Pamela Anderson).
