ON VACATIONS
In early January 2008 Celine Dion made a little break to take vacations with her family in the Maldives islands in the Pacific ocean. Celine was accompanied on this trip by her husband, Rene Angelil, their son, Rene Charles and Celine´s mother, Thérèse Tanguay Dion. Celine was photographed sunbathing on the beach and with a watersport instructor and her son. They also were photographed being towed by a 'donut' while Celine´s mother was seeing from the safety of a boat.
ON REHEARSALS
On January 12, 2008 Celine Dion was on rehearsals during he taping of a new CBS Special entitled "The Woman In Me", wich was broadcasted on February 15, 2008 on CBS channel in USA to help promote Celine´s album "Taking Chances". The show was taped at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, USA. During the rehearsals, Celine was accompanied by famous singer, Josh Groban Will I Am, from The Black Eyed Peas.
VIDEO MESSAGE
On January 18, 2008 Celine Dion appeared on a video message talking about her supports of the Student Writing Contest in Quebec, Canada. Celine has accepted the role of celebrity spokesperson for "La langue française, elle est bien québécoise", a French-language writing contest in Quebec. Students in grades 5 to 11 from all over the province participated. The grand prize was a 2-night stay in Quebec city and two passes to Quebec City´s 400th birthday celebrations concert on August 22, 2008 where Celine is scheduled to perform. The video message was recorded at Celine´s dressing room at the Caesars Palace last year.
IN PARIS
On January 24, 2008 Celine Dion arrived to Paris, France to take part at the gala of famous TV show "Star Academy 7" on January 25, 2008 and give some interviews and participate on the NRJ Music Awards. Celine and her husband, Rene Angelil stayed at the George V Hotel as always when they are in Paris. On same day, they celebrated Rene Charles 7th birthday in a pizzeria at the Champs-Élysées. As always, fans were waiting for Celine, so she signed few autographs and she was photographed leaving the pizzeria.

ON TV SHOW
On January 25, 2008 Celine Dion appeared during the broadcast of final gala of the famous French reality television "Star Academy 7", hosted by Nikos Aliagas and aired on TF1 channel in France at 8:50 p.m. Celine performed "Alone", "Dans un autre monde" in duet with Jérémy and Mathieu (two of the contestants of the show) and "S´Il suffisait d´aimer" in duet with Quentin Mosimann (the winner contestant of that night). The Tunisian-French vocalist, Dany Brillant also took part at this final gala. He performed an improvisation of the famous song "Volare" in duet with Celine.
ON TV SHOW
On January 25, 2008 Celine Dion appeared during the broadcast of the famous American television talk show "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", hosted by comedian/actress Ellen DeGeneres and aired on NBC channel in USA. On this episode, they broadcasted a pre-recorded video of various artists in honour to Ellen in her 50th birthday. It was a karaoke turn in wich some of the entertainment world´s biggest names, including Celine, belted out a version of Gloria Gaynor’s seventies disco classic, "I will survive".

NRJ MUSIC AWARDS
On January 26, 2008 Celine Dion took part at the 9th NRJ Music Awards Ceremony, created in 2000 by the French radio station NRJ in partnership with the television network TF1. It took place at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France and it was broadcasted live on TF1 channel in France. They give out awards to popular musicians by different categories. Celine arrived to the ceremony accompanied by her husband, Rene Angelil. Celine was nominated for French Female Artist. During the ceremony, Celine performed "Taking chances". She also received an special award, the NRJ Honour Music Award. Singer James Blunt gave to her the award. After the ceremony, Celine was photographed with James Blunt.
ON INTERVIEW
On January 26, 2008 Celine Dion took part at the 9th NRJ Music Awards Ceremony, wich took place in Cannes, France. After her performance at the gala, she was interviewed by the French radio station NRJ.
AT THE AIRPORT
On January 27, 2008 Celine Dion took part at the 9th NRJ Music Awards Ceremony, wich took place in Cannes, France. After her performance at the gala, she went to the airport. She was accompanied by her husband, Rene Angelil.
ON REHEARSALS
On January 27, 2008 Celine Dion was on rehearsals at the Zénith Theatre in Strasbourg, France for the special concert titled "Les Secrets des Enfoirés". Jean-Jacques Goldman among other artists also were there at the rehearsals.
PRESS CONFERENCE
On January 29, 2008 at the morning, Celine Dion gave a press conference and interviews at the George V Hotel in Paris, France as part of the promotion of the new fragrance "Sensational", a creation of Maurice Roucel from Symrise. And at the evening, at the Crillon, Celine officially launched this new fragrance, in a seated dinner. The launching conference was so exclusive, only VIP members attended the event.
IN PARIS
On January 30, 2008 Celine Dion was photographed leaving the George V Hotel in Paris, France after few days of participations in some TV shows. She left the city around 9.00pm. Celine´s son, Rene Charles was wearing his pyjamas and her mother, Thérèse was wearing hers too. She was wearing a very colorful blue pyjamas with a Vuitton bag. Rene Angelil and Celine said goodbye to the hotel staff, before left France.
