CONCERT IN MONTREAL / TÉLÉTHON JEAN LAPOINTE
On April 12, 1996 Celine Dion performed at the Molson Centre in Montreal, Canada with the "Falling Into You Tour", in front of about 15,000 people. This was the third of a serie of three consecutive concerts in Montreal with this tour. Celine opened the North American leg of the tour at the Molson Centre in Montreal, Canada on April 10, 1996. Then, she performed at the Molson Centre again on April 11 and 12, 1996. During the concert, Celine performed the song "Destin". The performance was broadcasted via satellite through Quebec, Canada during the Téléthon Jean Lapointe, a telethon organized to to help raise money to the Maison Jean Lapointe, founded by Quebecois actor, comedian and singer Jean Lapointe. They also broadcasted a video message from Celine, recorded at her dressing room at the Molson Centre before the concert. Also, footage from this concert was shown as part of a segment aired on the TV show "Flash", on TQS channel in Quebec, Canada.
PARTY FOR THE PLANET SPECIAL

The TV special-concert also included looks at the Anheuser-Busch Theme Parks´ conservation programs and the presentation of the 1996 "A Pledge and a Promise" Environmental Awards, for commitment to environmental awareness and protection. Celine´s appearance was via satellite from a concert taken from the "Falling Into You Tour". She performed "Because you loved me" and "Fly". Reba McEntire and Lenny Stack also performed for this special. The special was directed by Gene Weed and it was produced by Clay Jacobson and Segment Producer.
CONCERT IN QUEBEC
On June 7, 1996 Celine Dion performed at the Quebec Theatre Coliseum in Quebec City, Canada with the "Falling Into You Tour". The set list of this concert included many French songs from the album "D´eux". The following day Celine performed at the Quebec Theatre Coliseum again. Footage from these concerts was shown during the broadcast of a series of five reports on Radio-Canada channel in Quebec, Canada during the TV show "Le Telejournal Quebec", from March 13, 2006 to March 17, 2006.
CONCERT IN MONTREAL
On June 19, 1996 Celine Dion performed at the Molson Centre in Montreal, Canada with the "Falling Into You Tour", in front of about 15,000 people. This was the second of a serie of three consecutive concerts at the Molson Centre with this tour (the first was on June 18, 1996). The concert was characterized by perfect blonde-streaked hair, perfect makeup and nails, perfect body in a skintight, white leather, backless jumpsuit and matching blazer. During the show, Celine said "It feels wonderful to be in Montreal. It´s great to be home" (in French). Perfect choreography and perfect pitch on all songs that she enthusiastically and dramatically presented the majority of which were from her best-selling album "Falling Into You", including the N° 1 single "Because you loved me", which she saved for the very end. But it was during the looser moments that Celine, the person, seemed to finally emerge from Celine, the image, where the music while professionally delivered suffered from a distinct lack of soul. When she finally let her hair down, so to speak, about half way through the show, the energy picked up and the atmosphere improved. Like when she talked about tabloid rumors that she´s anorexic. "I´m not sick, okay? I wouldn´t be here tonight. I feel in top shape". Or when she brought out Japanese violinist Taro Hakase to accompany her on their N° 1 hit in Japan, "To love you more". Or when her three wonderful back-up dancers joined her at the front of the stage for a rousing version of "Love can move mountains" right before the encore. And, truth be told, the crowd of more than 15,000 besotted fans, everyone from teenage girls to elderly couples, couldn´t have cared less if she had just sat on a chair and sang her guts out. They seemed happiest when Celine hit the high notes, and boy, did she ever, on such songs as "The power of love" (for which they gave her a standing ovation), "All by myself", "If you asked me too", "Beauty and the beast" (in duet with backup singer Terry Bradford), "Call the man" (accompanied by a choir) and "Declaration of love". Some of the performances of this concert were broadcasted as a TV special entitled "Celine Dion: Falling Into You - Live!", which premiered on November 14, 1996 on VH1 channel in USA. This TV special was repeated several times throughout the month of November 1996. The following day Celine performed at the Molson Centre again (June 20, 1996).
CONCERT IN TORONTO
On June 22, 1996 Celine Dion performed at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, Canada with the "Falling Into You Tour", in front of more than 11,000 people. Celine in her white outfit, performed "The power of love", "River deep, mountain high", "Seduces me", "All by myself", "Pour que tu m´aimes encore", "Beauty and the beast", "Misled", "Declaration of love", "It´s all coming back to me now", "To love you more", "Love can move mountains", "Call the man", "Because you loved me" and many other songs. The following day Celine performed again at the Molson Amphitheatre. These two concerts in Toronto were the last shows from the first Canadian leg of the tour. According to the music critic Jane Stevenson from The Toronto Sun, like the enormous, sheer, white, ruffled curtains that dominated her stage, everything about French-Canadian singer Celine Dion on the evening of June 22, 1996 at the Molson Amphitheatre was perfect. Perfect, blonde-streaked hair. Perfect makeup and nails. Perfect body in a skintight, white leather, backless jumpsuit and matching blazer. Perfect manners - she said: "It feels wonderful to be in Toronto. It´s great to be home", after her world tour had taken her to Australia, New Zealand and the USA. Perfect choreography. Perfect pitch on all 18 songs that she enthusiastically and dramatically presented - the majority of which were from her latest best-selling album, "Falling Into You", including her No. 1 single "Because you loved me" which she saved for the very end. But it was during the looser moments that Celine, the person, seemed to finally emerge from Celine Dion, the image, where the music - while professionally delivered - suffered from a distinct lack of soul. Case in point being her cover of "River deep, mountain high", in which you couldn´t help but compare it to the the sweaty, rock ´n´ roll version by Tina Turner. When Celine finally let her hair down - so to speak - about half way through the show, the energy picked up and the atmosphere improved. Like when she talked about tabloid rumors that she´s anorexic. "I´m not sick, okay? I wouldn´t be here tonight. I feel in top shape". Or when she brought out Japanese violinist Taro Hakase to accompany her on their No. 1 hit in Japan, "To love you more". Or when her three wonderful back-up dancers joined her at the front of the stage for a rousing version of "Love can move mountains" right before the encore. And, truth be told, the crowd of 11,500 besotted fans - everyone from teenage girls to elderly couples - couldn´t have cared less if she had just sat on a chair and sang her guts out. They seemed happiest when Celine hit the high notes, and boy, did she ever, on such songs as "The power of love" (for which they gave her a standing ovation), "All by myself", "If you asked me to", "Beauty and the beast" (backup singer Terry Bradford substituted rather nicely for Peabo Bryson), "Where does my heart beat now" and "Declaration of love". Celine performed at the Molson Amphitheatre the following day, on the last date of her Canadian tour.
