LE MIRAGE
Everybody knows about Celine Dion´s love and passion for golf. For this reason, Celine decided to open her own golf course located in Terrebonne near Montreal, Canada which is called Le Mirage. Celine is hardly a typical female golf course owner. But she has taken a keen interest in the management of Le Mirage in suburban Terrebonne. This involvement came after she "fell in love" with the game after taking lessons with Debbie Savoy-Morel. Located at 3737 Martin Road, 5 km from Highway 640, on land completely wooded and sandy, Le Mirage offers golfers two courses high end.

Le Mirage opened its doors in 1993, long before Celine and Rene took full ownership, and was designed according to strict quality standards to satisfy the needs of today´s most demanding golfer. It is not surprising that the members are seduced by the challenges offered to them from their very first swing on the first hole to their last on the 18th.
Only 600 golfers have received the privilege to become members, privilege that allows each of them to take full advantage of the course availability and their incomparable quality of play. Among the club facilities available, people will find a luxurious clubhouse covering 35,000 square feet, completed in May 2000, a spacious proshop, a dining room with full restaurant service and numerous other facilities that will make the visit a memorable one. Personalized service and millions of dollars in investment have made it one of the best private golf clubs around.

Ms. Savoy-Morel´s reputation as a teaching pro reached Celine Dion and her husband Rene Angelil after the couple purchased an interest in Le Mirage in early 1997. After several months providing lessons to Celine on a part-time basis, Debbie was asked to become head pro and director of golf at Le Mirage when Celine and Rene took full ownership. After those initial lessons, Celine became as enthusiastic about the game as her husband, a long-time golf "fanatic". So they became owners of the club and decided to make it the best private golf club in Quebec. In 1999, members were delighted by new landscaping, including the addition of several thousand perennial and annual flowers. In May 2000, expansions to the clubhouse were completed, expanding it from 25,000 square feet to more than 35,000 square feet with a fully redesigned interior.

Graham Cooke golf course architect of international reputation, has managed to create courses fully seeded Bent Grass, who stand by a balanced mix of traditional and modern requirements. "Arizona" is typical of the desert lands of Arizona, each hole requiring precision shots (target golf). The "Carolina" is known for its traditional style and offers 18 holes of strategic challenges. Whether the choice lands on either of these two courses, people will reap a unique experience.

Over the years, many celebrities have graced the floor of Le Mirage. Among these, the club had the honor of hosting such stars as Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, Backstreet Boys, Bon Jovi, Michel Sardou and many others. In the sports world, the club have had memorable visits of Brian Campbell, Mario Lemieux, Brett Hull, Steve Heinze and Bobby Hull. It is understood that the club do every year a pleasure to welcome many Quebec artists: singers, celebrities, bands and comedians show their talents to the delight of the members and their guests.
