ADISQ GALA
On October 15, 1984 Celine Dion accepted two Félix awards for Top-Selling Album and Female Singer of the Year in a teary ceremony at the 6th Gala de l´ADISQ. This year´s ceremony was hosted by Jean-Pierre Ferland and aired in Quebec television in Canada. After that, Celine jetted off to Paris, France to promote the "Mélanie" album and prepare for the show at the Olympia concert hall, a sacred, almost mythical place where, for over a century, the world´s greatest singers have performed.
IN PARIS
In October 1984 Celine Dion and her manager Rene Angelil arrived to Paris, France to start a series of performances as opening act for Patrick Sebastien in France and at the Olympia in Paris. Celine and Rene were filmed at a car in the streets of the city. During those days in Paris, a Radio-Canada camera followed Celine everywhere. She spoke honestly about her stage fright and fear of performing, and about her friendships, her fame and her family.
