A GIFT OF SONG CONCERT
On December 10, 1997 Celine Dion performed at the A Gift Of Song, A Concert To Benefit The Children Of The World, a benefit concert to raise funds for the U.S. Committee for UNICEF and the United Nations Children´s Fund. The concert took place at the Beacon Theater in New York, USA. The multi-performer annual concert was sponsored by New York´s Z-100 radio station and it was presented by TNT channel in USA. Celine was introduced by Sam Waterston and then she sang "My heart will go on". Celine also performed "Love can move mountains". Other celebrities included Shawn Colvin, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Aaron Neville, Chris Rock, Rod Stewart, Aaliyah, Taylor Dayne, Sandra 'Pepa' Denton, Bryan Adams, Mariah Carey, Duncan Sheik, Shania Twain, Sharon Stone and Rod Stewart. At the end of the show, Celine was photographed with singer Bryan Adams and actor Kevin Bacon. The concert was produced by Ken Ehrlich, Tisha Fein and Ron Basile and it was directed by Michael Simon.
