CONCERT IN LAS VEGAS
On September 24, 2004 Celine Dion performed at the Colosseum of the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA with the highly successful show "A New Day...", created and directed by Franco Dragone. An amazing intro they made, so touching and cruel. Celine appeared on the screen, wasn´t her, just her picture, then she appeared in a different place and so on, until she starts singing. During the whole "Nature boy", the audience cannot see her very well because of the weak lighting. Celine finished her first song, the light fades out and in a few moment she is standing in all new clothes performing "The power of love". Withough saying a word, Celine goes on to perform "It´s all coming back to me now", "Because you loved me" and "To love you more". She made a small pause then and adresses to the audience. She said how sorry she was about what had happened to her several days before, adding that it was the worst thing for a performer to cancel shows knowing that somebody was longing to see you. But she thanked everybody who was there that night. "Shall we go for it!?", she said and performed "I´m alive" so well. "I´m alive" was followed by "Seduces me" and a funny monologue about the chair which is repeated at every show. Then came "If I could". After that, Celine performed "At last', "Fever" and "I´ve got the world on a string". At the end of it they show the audience again on the screen to distract them while Celine disappears from the stage. Then comes the instrumental composition "A new love". When "A new love" finished, Celine performed "I surrender" in a new dress. That song sounded so fine and powerful. The song was followed by "Ammore annascunnuto" which has a very long introduction. Celine started to sing even before she was on stage. She walked and wears the same clothing as all the dancers that walk slowly from behind the curtains with her. After the song, Celine told a joke about her musicians and then she performed "I wish". During "Love can move mountains", Celine approached so close to the audience. Then, Celine performed "I drove all night", in wich the audience was standing without ceasing to applaud. When everybody finally gets on their places, the big screen was showing the moon. There comes "My heart will go on" with a long intro. When Celine finished, the people were on there feet again. Celine said "thank you" many times and the "What a wonderful world" intro began. That was the final song she performed. At this time of the show, Celine´s hair looked straight.
