SWISS PRESELECTION
On February 6, 1988 Celine Dion attended the Swiss Preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 1988. Celine represented Switzerland as one of the countries wich competed at the contest. The preselection took place at the Théâtre de Beausobre in Morges, Switzerland and it was hosted by Serge Moisson. The Swiss entry was Celine with the French language song "Ne partez pas sans moi" ("Don´t leave without me" in English), composed by Atilla Şereftuğ and Nella Martinetti. The Swiss entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1988 was selected through a national final. Nine songs in total competed, with the winner selected by three regional juries, a press jury and another jury of experts. The other eight performers were Hertz, Christine Nachbauer, Renato Mascetti, Bernadette, Furbaz, Cocktail Band, Gemo and Manuela Felice. After performed "Ne partez pas sans moi" and winning the preselection, Celine was photographed with the songwriters of the song, Atilla Şereftuğ and Nella Martinetti.

On February 15, 1988 Celine Dion appeared during the broadcast of the TV show "Téléfun", hosted by Francine Lareau, Pierre Marcotte and Roger Giguère and aired on TQS channel (Télévision Quatre Saisons) in Quebec, Canada. Celine was interview and she also performed "Incognito", "Comme un coeur froid" and the famous "Memory", taken from the musical Cats.

On February 22, 1988 Celine Dion appeared on interview during the broadcast of the TV show "Montréal Ce Soir" aired on Radio-Canada channel in Quebec, Canada. At the age of 19, Celine is already famous in Quebec. Her album "Incognito", released in 1987, has sold more than 500,000 copies. Building on this success, the singer thinks big. She signed a deal with CBS Records, the multinational that produces Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand. As she gives a series of shows in Montreal, the reporter Charles Tisseyre meeting and follows the artist for a day. Celine tells him about her career plans in the USA and her new look. To critics who accuse her of imitating other singers, she says, "I do what I want to do, what I love most in the world. Let me sing, let me have fun".
