IN HONOLULU
On February 4, 1999 Celine Dion was greeted at the Honolulu Airport in Honolulu, Hawaii, by Governator Ben Cayetano and performer Keali´i Reichel. Celine was interviewed there. Reichel made the opening act for Celine´s concert at the Aloha Stadium on February 12, 1999 with the "Let´s Talk About Love Tour".
BRIT AWARDS
On February 16, 1999 Celine Dion took part at the 19th edition of the BRIT Awards Ceremony, the biggest annual pop music awards in the United Kingdom which held this year at the London Arena in London, UK. Celine appeared on a pre-recorded video message (recorded during a show in Honolulu, Hawaii) after receive the BRIT Award for "Titanic" on behalf of James Horner.
ON TV SHOW
On February 20, 1999 Celine Dion appeared on the broadcast of the French TV show "Les Années Tubes", aired on TF1 channel in France. Celine´s appearance was taped in late 1998. She performed the songs "On ne change pas" and "S´il suffisait d´aimer", both from the album "S´Il Suffisait D´Aimer" released on September 7, 1998.
ON TV SPECIAL
On February 22, 1999 Celine Dion appeared during the broadcast of the TV special entitled "Un An Avec Celine", hosted by Julie Snyder and aired on TVA channel in Quebec, Canada. The TV special included a serie of interviews with Celine through the years 1997, 1998 and 1999. The Francophone Canadian talk show host and producer, Julie Snyder hosted the TV special in Quebec, taped over more than one year. Snyder followed Celine around the world during her tours and she interviewed Celine on backstage, rehearsals and in other moments. In one of the interviews, Snyder talked with Celine and on a screen appeared Jean-Jacques Goldman who talked with Celine too. Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams aslo was interviewed for this TV special. A second part of this TV special was broadcasted on M6 channel in France under the name, "Dion Phenomenon". The special was produced by Jean Lamoureux, JPL Productions and Feeling Productions.
ON REHEARSAL
On February 24, 1999 in the afternoon, Celine Dion arrived at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, USA to the rehearsals of the song "The prayer", (to performed that night at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards ceremony in duet with Andrea Bocelli). Bocelli wasn´t there, so the music producer David Foster introduced to Celine a young boy to rehearsal the song with Celine. The boy was Josh Groban. Celine also met with famous TV hoster Rosie O´Donnell.
GRAMMY AWARDS
On February 24, 1999 Celine Dion took part at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards, wich took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, USA. They recognized accomplishments by musicians from the year 1998. Lauryn Hill was the nights big winner winning a total of 5 awards including Album of the Year and Best New Artist. Madonna won three awards while country musicians the Dixie Chicks, Vince Gill, & Shania Twain won two apiece. Celine also received two awards both for "My heart will go on", which received a total of four awards. It is widely remembered for Ricky Martin performance of "La copa de la vida". Celine arrived to the Shrine Auditorium accompanied with her husband Rene Angelil. After get the first award, Celine performed the song "The prayer", in duet with Andrea Bocelli. And then, she got the rest of the awards. Celine also was photographed with singers Faith Hill, Shania Twain and Seril Crow.
ON INTERVIEW
On February 24, 1999 Celine Dion took part at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards, wich took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, USA. There, Celine was interviewed by the Francophone Canadian talk show host and producer Julie Snyder for a segment aired on the TVA channel in Canada, as part of a TV special entitled "Un An Avec Celine", wich was broadcasted in late February 1999.
ON TV SHOW
On February 27, 1999 Celine Dion appeared during the broadcast of the TV show "Samedi soir chez Estelle", hosted by French actress and model Estelle Lefébure, and aired on France 2 channel in France. Celine was promoting her latest French album "S´il Suffisait D´aimer", as well as the "Celine: La Biographie Officielle", an authorized biography book in French about Celine Dion, written by Georges-Hebert Germain. Celine performed the song "S´il suffisait d´aimer" and then, Celine and Georges-Hebert Germain were interviewed. Celine´s appearance was taped in late 1998.
