ON TV SHOW
On January 1, 2000 Celine Dion appeared on the famous TV show "Behind The Music" broadcasted on VH1 channel at 9:00 p.m. "Celine Dion: Behind The Music" TV special, tells the story of the incredible rise of the diva of pop music and the relationship, with her husband and manager, Rene Angelil. This special delves into their relationship´s transformation as Rene and Celine grow together, achieve huge success and ultimately fight a life threatening illness, Rene´s cancer. Celine also talks about her retirement and her last performance in Montreal on New Year´s Eve. The show is documented by interviews with Rosie O´Donnell; David Foster (music producer); Celine´s husband/manager; Rene Angelil; Celine´s mother Therese Dion and brother Michele Dion; Tommy Mottolla, President of Sony and Polly Anthony, President of Epic Records; Billboard Live music critic Chuck Taylor and "Saturday Night Live´s" Ana Gasteyer. It was taped in late 1999.
THE REMARRIAGE
On January 5, 2000 Celine Dion and Rene Angelil remarry at the Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas, USA. Celine and Rene were married in 1994 in Montreal but they wished to renew their vows in front of friends and family. The couple transformed the hotel´s chapel to look like an Arabian mosque, marking the importance of Rene´s Lebanese and Syrian roots. The bride wore golden dress by Givenchy. Celine wore a spangled metallic gown, an enormous coil of hair and very long ear-rings of worked metal. Rene wore a white djellabah with golden facings. After the ceremony, the guests went to the hotel´s ballroom, which had also taken on an Arabian theme. Berber tents were erected in the room and each was designed to represent a scene from A Thousand and One Nights. The theme continued with camels and imported birds as well as jugglers, dancers, and singers. The food also maintained the exotic theme with Moroccan and Middle Eastern dishes served to guests who were seated on plush cushions. Celine and Rene posed to the press.

PIERRE LABELLE FUNERAL
On January 21, 2000 Celine Dion and her husband Rene Angelil attended the funeral of Pierre Labelle, which took place at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, Canada. Pierre was Rene´s old friend and part of the band "Les Baronets", which Rene was part too. During the funeral ceremony, Rene spoke few words as an hommage remembering his old friend.

SHOOTING VIDEO
In January 2000 Celine Dion attended the shooting for the music video of the song "If walls could talk". The video was directed by Liz Friedlander and features Celine in a room that changes along with people appearing and disappearing.
