IN JUPITER ISLAND
On October 13, 2010 Celine Dion, who was at her new house in Jupiter Island, Florida, USA, posed for an exclusive photo session, in wich her husband Rene Angelil, and her son Rene Charles also took part. Some of those photos were published later on the magazines "Hello Canada" and "7 Jours". On that day, Celine also received the famous hoster Julie Snyder for an exclusive interview. Julie was first to record her interview, then, came all the others (a team from Oprah Winfrey), that used the same set and lighting that Julie brought. Then, Julie did the conclusion at the end of the day with Celine and her sisters at the pool. Celine pushed Julye and her sisters into the pool. On that day, Celine also recorded an special video message to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Footage from the making of the photo session and Celine in the pool with her sister, were broadcasted on the interview titled "Des nouvelles de Céline" on October 28, 2010 on TVA channel in Canada.
FAO GOODWILL AMBASSADOR
On October 15, 2010 the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), appointed Italian actor Raoul Bova, Canadian singer Celine Dion, Filipino singer Lea Salonga and American actress Susan Sarandon as FAO´s Goodwill Ambassadors, to help in the global fight against hunger. FAO Director-General Jacques Diouf announced the appointment during celebrations of World Food Day in Rome, which takes as its theme this year "United Against Hunger". The new Goodwill Ambassadors were present at the World Food Day ceremony in Rome, with the exception of Celine, who was unable to attend, but accepted the honour in a video address, wich she recorded from her new house in Jupiter Island, Florida, USA. "I will do my best to play a significant role in the quest to free humanity from hunger as food insecurity has reached unacceptable levels", said Celine.
TWINS BIRTH
On October 23, 2010 Celine Dion welcomed twin boys. She delivered fraternal twins just after 11 a.m. at the St. Mary´s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA. A press conference was held to announce the birth of the singer´s twin sons at the St. Mary´s Medical Center. The first boy was born at 11:11 a.m., weighing 5 pounds, 10 ounces. Celine´s second son was born at 11:12. He weighs, 5 pounds, 4 ounces. Celine´s husband, Rene Angelil was by her side the entire time and couldn´t wait to share the news. "And I did cut the cords, both of them and it´s a great feeling and I hope to provide to them all the love that I can for as long as I can", said Rene during the conference. Celine and the babies stayed at St. Mary´s Medical Center for several days. Celine was admitted a week ago to prevent the early delivery of her babies. The news release from the hospital said, "It´s a fairly common clinical practice for mothers of twins". "The miracle of life happens when you cut the cord, and when I cut the cord it was instant love," said Rene. "She looked at her belly and said, I hope there´s not too many girls in there, and her wish came true, it´s two boys". "With Rene Charles I´ve had the privilege to be always with him, and with the twins I plan the same". "We had many times that we tried and it wasn´t working, and finally it did work", said Rene. Doctors at St. Mary´s Medical Center said mom and the babies are doing great and should be home in a couple of days.
IN WEST PALM BEACH
On October 24, 2010 Celine Dion and her husband, Rene Angelil were at the St. Mary´s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA where the twin babies have born the day before. Celine and Rene were taking care of them while they wait until Celine was ready to go home and leave the medical center.
ON INTERVIEW
On October 28, 2010 Celine Dion appeared during the broadcast of the first official TV interview since her pregnancy, entitled "Des nouvelles de Céline"; aired on TVA channel in Canada. A few days before her delivery, Celine received her long time friend, Julie Snyder in the new house of Celine and Rene in Jupiter Island, Florida, USA on October 13, 2010. All know the great complicity and laughter between the two women. Besides the imminent birth of her twins, Celine talked about her plans: her upcoming show at the Colosseum of the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA (Rene Angelil and Celine´s team were already working actively), her new song in duet with Marc Dupre titled "Y´a pas de mots", wrote by Celine from Dupre´s album, "Entre Deux Mondes", and the new school of Celine´s son, Rene Charles. Celine, also talked about a third baby (triplets), that unfortunately she lost. She was so touched during the interview. They also broadcasted footage from the new house of Celine, by the inside and outside, and a very special video with the new song "Y´a pas de mots" in duet with Marc Dupre, with footage from Dupré in the recording studio, and footage from Celine at the pool of her house with 2 of her sisters. At the beggining of the interview, Rene Angelil revealed the names of the twins: Eddy, after Celine´s favourite Algerian songwriter Eddy Marnay, and Nelson, after South African President Nelson Mandela.
ON MAGAZINE
On October 29, 2010 Celine Dion appeared on the cover of the famous magazine "7 Jours", published in Canada. The magazine published a series of photos taken during a very special photo session (with Celine, pregnant), wich took place at Celine´s new house in Jupiter Island, Florida, USA on October 13, 2010, same day as the recording of an exclusive interview with the famous hoster, Julie Snyder, for the TVA channel in Canada. Thanks to the magazine, Celine fans could know the real news about her, because in mid October 2010, and according to the journalist Jose Lambiet, from the site www.page2live.com, Celine was expected at the St. Mary clinic on October 22, 2010 to bring her babies to the world though a cesarea. But later, on October 14, 2010, contrary to reports, Celine has not scheduled a C-section to deliver her twin boys on October 22, 2010 and has not made outrageous demands of a Florida hospital, Rene Angelil told to the famous magazine "People". "There´s nothing scheduled. We do not have a date", said Rene. "They want Celine´s pregnancy to go as long as possible, at least until the first week of November 2010", added Celine´s rep, referring to the singer´s doctors. "She would never intentionally endanger her unborn children by scheduling a birth early like this", said Rene. Rene also refuted a report that Celine has made diva demands, such as handpicking her nursing staff and reserving a room for a security team. "It´s all false", says the rep. On October 17, 2010, Celine entered the St. Mary clinic at West Palm Beach in Florida, USA to make sure that the twins come to the world the healthiest way possible. The hospital also confirmed that the rumours of the babies coming to the world on October 22, 2010 were completely false. Anyway, the twins born on October 23, 2010. Although the magazine didn´t published all the photos taken on October 13, 2010. They also published a photo of Celine with Julie Snyder, and few photos from Rene Charles. More photos from that session would be published later by the magazine "Hello Canada".
