The single and supporting documentary music video was intended to help boost the morale of U.S. troops involved in Operation Desert Storm, as well as supporting the International Red Cross organization. The documentary, which followed the recording of the single to the music video´s presentation to the troops in the Middle East, aired on Fox channel on February 28, 1991. It was written and directed by David S. Jackson. It was hosted by James Woods. Warren Wiebe, a friend of Foster and little-known vocalist at the time who recorded the demo of the song, was invited by Foster to sing lead and deliver the last solo lines of the song. "Voices that care" reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 3 on the Hot 100 Singles Sales, number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay, and number 6 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks.

"Plus haut que moi" was written by Eddy Marnay, Ken Cummings and Mark Blatte. It is a French adaptation of "Higher ground", performed by Jennifer Rush on her album "Wings Of Desire" in 1989. Later, Dion covered another Rush´s song, called "The power of love" which become one of her biggest hits. "Plus haut que moi" was produced by Aldo Nova who already collaborated with Celine on her previous albums, and by Tino Izzo. The latter worked with Celine again in 2005 on "Tout près du bonheur", and in 2007 on "On s´est aimé à cause" and "A world to believe in". "Plus haut que moi" is the last Eddy Marnay´s song recorded by Celine. Marnay wrote all her early French songs between 1981-1987.

"Sous le vent" was also included on Celine´s "On Ne Change Pas" greatest hits compilation in October 2005. The song was written by Jacques Veneruso, who later wrote for Celine "Tout l´or des hommes" and "Je ne vous oublie pas" among others. Celine performed this song few times live with Garou, including 2001 ADISQ Gala Awards and the historic performance in front of 250,000 spectators to celebrate Quebec´s 400th anniversary, which was included on "Céline Sur Les Plaines" DVD in 2008. She also sang it as a duet with Marc Dupré in 2002, with whom she recorded "Tout près du bonheur" in 2005. The song was a smash hit in Francophone countries, reaching number 1 in France (3 weeks at the top), Belgium (1 week) and number 2 in Switzerland. It was certified diamond in France (750,000 copies sold), platinum in Belgium (50,000) and Switzerland (40,000). "Sous le vent" made the slowest ever climb to number 1 in Belgium Wallonia, taking 16 weeks to get there. "Sous le vent" won the NRJ Music Awards in 2002 for the Francophone Duet of the Year, and the Victoire de la Musique the same year for the Original Song of the Year. A new version with the 500 Choristes was included on the "Je ne vous oublie pas" single in 2005.

"God bless America" is an American patriotic song written by Irving Berlin in 1918 and revised by him in 1938, as sung by Kate Smith (becoming her signature song). Following the September 11 terrorist attacks, Celine Dion performed the song on the TV special "America: A Tribute To Heroes". Shortly afterwards on October 16, Sony Music Entertainment released a benefit album called "God Bless America", which featured an studio version of the song. The album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 and became the first charity album to reach the top since USA for Africa's "We Are The World" in 1985. Celine´s version also received enough radio airplay to reach number 14 on Billboard´s Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart. Celine performed the song also few times during 2002. In 2003, she performed it at Super Bowl, which was the first time that "God bless America" was performed at a Super Bowl. She sang it on July 4, 2004 in her "A New Day..." show as well. "God bless America" performed by Celine exists in two versions, live and studio. Both included on collections to gather funds for the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and their families. The live version, on "America: A Tribute To Heroes", is from the telethon event of the same name that took place on September 21, 2001. The studio version is on the "God Bless America" album, a patriotic songs CD. It was recorded on September 20, 2001, the day before the American telethon. It was meant to be a replacement for the performance in the event something happened and Celine couldn´t appear.

"What more can I give" is a song written by American musician Michael Jackson and recorded by a supergroup of singers including Celine Dion following the September 11 attacks in 2001. The inspiration for the song had initially come to Jackson after a meeting with the President of South Africa Nelson Mandela in the late 1990s. The song was to be premiered at a Jackson concert, but the singer failed to perform it. The song also failed to gain an official release, despite the pop singer having stated that it would be issued as a charity single for the refugees of the Kosovo War, which ended in 1999.

Contacted five months earlier by the producer Richard Goudreau, Celine´s husband and manager Rene Angelil was impressed by the film. Then he gave his green light so that the singer could perform the song "Ma nouvelle-France". Celine recorded this song on October 3, 2004, in Las Vegas, USA. It was featured on the "Nouvelle-France" soundtrack (November 19, 2004) and Celine´s later album "On Ne Change Pas" (October 3, 2005).

The song was written by Sharon Stone, Damon Sharpe, Mark Feist, and Denise Rich and released on November 21, 2005. It was recorded by various artists as Celine Dion, The Game, JoJo, Jesse McCartney, Nick Carter, A.J. McLean, John Legend among others. The song´s origin was an inspiration by the magnitude of human suffering and tragedy that touched so many lives after the tsunami disaster in December 2004. In Hurricane Katrina´s wake Stone, Sharpe, Feist, and Rich used the song as a combined effort to raise funds for the two global tragedies. Feist and Sharpe also served as producers. Mark Feist also wrote the musical arrangement.

"Tout près du bonheur" was composed in 2000 by Celine for Marc Dupré and Anne-Marie Angelil´s wedding. Dion performed it after the ceremony. During the recording of his first album in 2005, Dupré asked Celine for permission to cover the song. The mother-in-law accepted it at once and recorded background vocals. Tino Izzo produced the track. There are two recorded versions of "Tout près du bonheur". First can be found on Marc Dupré´s debut album, released in 2005. Second one, rock version, was released as a radio and digital download in Quebec in 2006. There is also third but only live version of that song. It was performed on April 30, 2006 by both artists at the Gala Artists in Quebec and featured more vocals from Dion (a whole second verse). "Tout près du bonheur" topped the Quebec radio charts in June 2006 for three weeks. On October 23, 2006, Dion and Dupré won a SOCAN Award as composers of "Tout près du bonheur".

"If I ruled the world" is a popular song, composed by Leslie Bricusse and Cyril Ornadel, which was originally from the 1963 West End musical "Pickwick" (based on Charles Dickens' "The Pickwick Papers"). In the context of the stage musical, the song is sung by Samuel Pickwick, when he is mistaken for an election candidate and called on by the crowd to give his manifesto. The song is usually associated with Sir Harry Secombe, but has been performed by other singers, notably Tony Bennett, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes and Tom Jones. Bennett originally recorded the song in 1965, and had a number 34 hit with it on the U.S. pop singles charts. Bennett, with Celine Dion, returned to the song on his Grammy-winning 2006 album "Duets: An American Classic".

A pseudo music video of "Y´a Pas De Mots" was shown during the broadcast of the interview titled "Des nouvelles de Céline" with Julie Snyder and aired on October 28, 2010 on TVA channel in Quebec, Canada. It features footage from Dupré at the recording studio, and footage of Celine singing the song in the pool of her Florida house. Snyder explained before that music video that it was just something the editor came up with for fun. For them, it was a creative way to push the single before it had a video.
