THE ALBUM
"Du Soleil Au Cœur" (meaning "Sunshine In The Heart") is a French compilation album by Celine Dion, released in France in October 1983. It´s her 5th French album and 1st released in France.
...> About The Album
The album is a compilation of songs from Celine´s previous two Canadian albums: "Tellement J´ai D´amour..." and "Les Chemins De Ma Maison". It was released thanks to "D´amour ou d´amitié" success in France (number 10 on the singles chart). "Mon ami m´a quittée" was the follow-up single. "Du Soleil Au Cœur" included an extended version of "Ne me plaignez pas" and one new song, called "À quatre pas d´ici" (French adaptation of Bucks Fizz´s UK number 1 hit "The land of make believe"). The latter was originally written by Andy Hill and Peter Sinfield. Both of them worked with Celine again in 1993 ("Think twice") and 1996 ("Call the man"). The Canadian fans could find "À quatre pas d´ici" on Celine´s Christmas album "Chants Et Contes De Noël", released in November 1983. "Du Soleil Au Cœur" has sold 50,000 copies. On April 4, 2002, after nineteen years "Du Soleil Au Cœur" was re-released in France on a CD, including five bonus tracks. On May 16, 2008 it was also released in Switzerland.

THE SINGLES
...> "Mon ami m´a quittée"
"Mon ami m´a quittée" (meaning "My boyfriend left me") is a single released in France, to help promote Celine´s first album in that country, "Du Soleil Au Cœur". Orignally, "Mon ami m´a quittée" was released in September 1983 in Quebec, Canada as the first single from the album "Les Chemins De Ma Maison".
Celine recorded also a German version of this song called "Mon ami, geh nicht fort". It was included as B-side on "Was bedeute ich dir" single, released in Germany in 1984. "Mon ami m´a quittée" was released also as a single in the Netherlands in 1997 by BR Music to promote the "C´est Pour Toi" compilation. In 2005, the song became a part of Celine´s official French best of album "On Ne Change Pas".
