THE FOUNDATION
The Fondation De L´Hôpital Sainte-Justine (or Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation in English) is a hospital specialized in the treatment of sick children in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Their mission is to mobilize the community and support Sainte-Justine UHC (Sainte-Justine University Hospital Research Center) in its mission in order to provide the children of today and tomorrow with one of the highest levels of healthcare in the world. The Sainte-Justine UHC Foundation extends a warm thank you to Celine and Rene for their exceptional participation in the "Growing Up Healthy" campaign. As campaign spokespersons, they reached out to Quebecers, raising awareness about the importance of continuing the tradition of excellence at Sainte-Justine. They thanks to Celine and Rene for their invaluable support and for so generously agreeing to accompany Sainte-Justine´s children in their fight to get well.

Celine Dion and her husband and manager Rene Angelil, are the spokespersons of the "Growing Up Healthy" campaign of the Fondation De L´Hôpital Sainte-Justine. As part of their mandate, Celine and Rene helped to raise $125 million dollars in donations from the public for the hospital´s development plan. The Sainte-Justine Hospital´s mission includes care, research and teaching, with a firm commitment towards children and mothers. - 2002
On December 18, Celine and Rene accept the title of patrons of the campaign "Grandir En Santé" ("Growing Up Healthy" in English) at the Hôpital Sainte-Justine in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Celine also records her first TV commercial for the Sainte-Justine Hospital, entitled "Les Mots".

Celine records the second TV commercial for the Sainte-Justine Hospital.
- 2005
On December 7, Celine visited the Ste-Justine Hospital in Montreal, Canada and took part in a news conference. Celine and Rene announced that they raised approximately $108,271,455 (USD) thanks to the "Grandir En Santé" campaign. The funds raised helped to build new facilities and buy cutting edge technology to treat its patients.
- 2007
On August 4, Celine performed at the "Ste. Justine Hospital´s Centennial Show", a private benefit concert wich took place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. In celebration of the Sainte-Justine Hospital Centennial, an exclusive and complimentary show was held for the employees and patients of the hospital. Over 15,000 invited guests passed through the doors of the Bell Centre to hear and see many artists interpreting songs relating to children, hope and love.

After several months of work, the "Celine Dion Cinema" at St-Justine Hospital in Montreal, Canada opened its doors. Celine offered words of support, through a video shown before the film presentation. On December 12, 2012 Celine Dion and Rene Angelil, who are the honourary lifetime patrons of the CHU Sainte-Justine, kicked-off the "Healing More Better" campaign to support the largest mother-child centre in Canada and raise a total of $150 million by 2018.

On April 6, 2012 and after several months of work, the "Cinéma Celine Dion" (or "Celine Dion Cinema" in English) at St-Justine Hospital in Montreal, Canada opened its doors to young patients and offered its first movie screening. The movie house, which was called the "Cinéma Celine Dion", was built under the direction of Denise Robert and Guy Gagnon. They combined their talent to create the "Cinéma Celine Dion", equipped with a projector, screen, sound system, and professional services.

Celine, who is the institution´s Spokesperson for Life offered words of support, through a video shown before the film presentation. Celine talked about how wonderful movies are because they allow the imagination to run free and offer a temporary escape from difficult moments and she hopes that this theatre will provide patients with hope and courage to heal. The "Cinéma Celine Dion" is equipped with a projector, screen, sound system, and professional services. "Rene and I are very proud to be the patrons of this wonderful project, the house of life", said Celine. "We are also very touched that the movie house will be called the Celine Dion Cinema. It will surely bring many hours of joy to hospitalized children, who will be able to watch all the new feature films at the same time as their school friends". The community project entirely dedicated to improving the quality of life of children who pass through the Emergency Unit, corresponds so well with the St-Justine Hospital´s philosophy to provide patient-centered care. "The emergency waiting room and the Celine Dion Cinema are both warm and comfortable places for children and their families", confirmed Dr. Fabrice Brunet, Chief Executive Director of the CHU Sainte-Justine.

...> "Healing More Better" Campaign
On December 12, 2012 Celine and her husband Rene Angelil kicked off the "Healing More Better" Campaign and launched the largest fundraising campaign in the institution´s history. Along with honourary presidents Jean Coutu and Paul Desmarais, Jr., campaign co-chairs Jacynthe Côté, Pierre Boivin and Serge Godin, and members of the campaign cabinet, they invited the public to join together to support the largest mother-child centre in Canada and raise a total of $150 million by 2018. "Rene and I are convinced that the CHU Sainte-Justine has the capacity to provide the brightest possible future for children and mothers in Quebec. Our hope is to inspire Quebecers´ tremendous generosity. And then we will continue to do everything in our power to help the CHU Sainte-Justine heal more and more children", said Celine through a video message shown at the "Cinéma Celine Dion" in St-Justine Hospital in Montreal, Canada. Celine has given her song "La mer et l´enfant" from her album "Sans attendre" as the theme song for fundraising.
