On October 2, 2002 Celine Dion appeared on the famous Italian talent TV show "Operazione Trionfo", broadcasted on Italia 1 channel. Her entry in the academy was expected at 5 p.m. but Celine kept us waiting for an hour and half. It was 6:30 p.m. when she arrived welcome by students of academy with a great din and emotion. Accompanied by the piano, she song "Nature boy", "My heart will go on" duetting with two students (Cindy and Mario), "All by myself" and "Summer time" duetting with student Lidia, who was very moved. Then she chatted with students with a great humility and inner force, she talked about her family, her success, her career and she also told them how to react when they forget words of songs "You´ve to admit it because nobody is perfect, even if you forget the words you sing with all your soul. I discover and feel each song everytime I sing it". Then at 7:10 p.m., after the exhortation of an external voice, she left academy to go to airport. But Celine, as presenter said, wanted to stay, losing her aeroplane. She performed "I´m alive" on the show and at the end she said "It´s first time that I had the privilege of doing such a wonderful thing with a beautiful people who have such talent and passion and dreams and honestly it was my gift today to be here and to meet all of them, it was a pleasure". Besides, she answered presenter´s questions. She explained what selling eight millions of units means to her: "Honestly, these numbers are very impressive but what touches me the most is not the number in itself or the money that´s involves, I don´t see the number, I see the hearts". She also said what "A New Day Has Come" represents for her: "A New Day Has Come" represents for me and for us of course, me and Rene, our baby...". And then she talked about her next shows in Las Vegas, USA.

On October 5, 2002 Celine Dion appeared during the broadcast of the famous French reality television show "Star Academy", hosted by Nikos Aliagas and aired on TF1 channel in France. It consists of a contest of young singers. Celine was interviewed, she talked with the contestants and she performed "I´m alive". Celine also performed a medley with the contestants. The medley included the songs: "D´amour ou d´amitie" (with Anne-Laure Sibon), "Ce n´était qu´un rêve" (with Nolwenn Leroy), "On ne change pas" (with Jérémy Chatelain), "S´il suffisait d´aimer" (with Anne-Laure Sibon) and "My heart will go on" (with Emma Daumas).

On October 10, 2002 Celine Dion appeared on interview during the broadcast of the famous French pop music radio station NRJ Radio. It was recorded at the NRJ Studios in Paris, France. On same day, Celine also met with a big fan of her, named Shirley.

On October 12, 2002 Celine Dion appeared on the broadcast of the TV show "La Chanson N°1", hosted by Danièla Lumbroso and aired on France 2 channel in France at 8:55 p.m. Celine performed "I´m alive". Days earlier, press had been announced that Celine would sing a song from the musical "Les Dix Commandements". However, she performed "The greatest reward", wich is the English version of the song "L´envie d´aimer" (originally from the musical).
IN LA LOUVIÉRE
On October 15, 2002 Celine Dion arrived to La Louviére, Belgium to practice and work on her Las Vegas show "A New Day…". There was a warm welcome by the fans and local curious. Some people even asked Celine to sing a few notes for them, and Celine politely declined, and told them she is a bit tired but she is glad that she´ll be staying here for a month. She also added that she still hasn´t have time to visit her house yet. Few days later, in front of "Le Hall des Expositions", a hundred of fans waited for her. She got out of her car preceded by her husband Rene Angelil and went up running-board to sign autographs and to answer some question, smiling. She said about Franco Dragone, the director of the show, "He trusts me and I´m honoured to work with him. I have been welcomed by fans in an exceptional way. It will be a pleasure to stay in Belgium for one month". The presence of Celine has catalyzed the world-wide attention on small Belgium. Thanks to her, small places and towns like Bousval, Genappe and the Louviére are exited from the world-wide anonymity.

On October 21, 2002 Celine Dion gave a press conference in La Louvière, Belgium to talk about her show in Las Vegas, USA "A New Day..." next year at the Caesars Palace. On this conference Ceine describes her upcoming spectacular show, watches the dancers who have been rehearsing in La Louvière, Belgium since June, 2002. The dancers show Celine some of their moves in front of the international press. Celine and the director of the show, Franco Dragone, full back the drapes to reveal the new show title, they take a few questions from members of the media.

On October 25, 2002 Celine Dion appeared on an episode of the french TV show "Star Á Domicile", hosted by Flavie Flament and broadcasted on TF1 channel. After she surprises him, Celine sits down for an intimate chat with the fan, where she sang for him a little fragment of "I´m alive". The meeting between Celine and a very lucky fan was recorded earlier that month in Paris, France. Raphaël (fan´s name), 24, lived one of the more moving moments of his life, to meet Celine Dion. At the beginning, his wife announces to him gaining one weekend in a luxury hotel, the Georges V Hotel. When he arrives in the spot, he meets his idol since more than ten years, Celine in person.
On October 31, 2002 Celine Dion and her family celebrated Holloween in La Louviére, Belgium. The party took place at the La Pallande, an inn located just a step from the house rented by Celine. Anne Duyckaerts, the owner of La Pallande, told to press "Celine is very nice and very simple. She exclaimed Wonderful! as soon as she entered and was very happy like a child in front of the witches which decorated the room. Duyckaerts organized the party for Celine and her relatives. "As the villa she had rented was too small, I lodged two drivers of hers, two housekeepers of hers, her butler and even her sister Manon who accompanies her everywhere. Another sister of hers, Linda, who is the godmother and nanny of Rene Charles, lodged in town. They asked me to organize a party for 14 persons. The day before, her chef came to decide the menu with me. He accepted all proposals of ours: cream with chestnuts and wild mushrooms, roasted-fish with spinage and butter of orange, soft lemon ice-cream, fillet of deer and autumn trimmings and a mixed fruit ice cream", Anne tells. "Celine arrived from La Louviére, she was very glad to see her little Rene Charles and she took care of him during all the meal. Celine was very relaxed. She even drew a spider on her face. The chef envisaged big hats and false nose for everyone. It was a family meal, with her husband, her son, her sisters and all staff of hers", Anne explains. "At the end of meal, Celine apologized for bother, signed autographs and even made a picture with me and my sons! She offered me a bottle of champagne and a signed poster of her new show, she also wrote some very nice words on my gold book. She´s very generous. At the exit of the restaurant, at midnight thirty, she still signed autographs for fans which waited for her outside", Anne concludes.
In October 2002 Celine Dion appeared on the magazine of the famous American stand-up comedian, actress, singer, author and media personality, Rosie O´Donnell. The magazine published an exclusive interview with Celine. On this intimate interview, Celine talks about the son she feared she´d never have, the husband she almost lost and the passion that binds her family together. For the occasion, Celine posed for a photo shoot in which also participated Rosie.
