In this feature, you can find information about some parodies and sketches about Celine Dion, an imitative work created to mock. Celine Dion was imitated and parodied several times on the famous American late-night live television sketch comedy and variety show "Saturday Night Live", broadcasted on NBC channel in USA. On the TV show, Celine always has been imitated by actress, Ana Gasteyer.

They created "The Céline Dion Show", a faux variety show aired few times as a segment for the main TV show. During the segments of "The Céline Dion Show", Ana Gasteyer played the Grammy award-winning singer Celine, who in the opening credits claimed to be "the most beautiful and most loved singer in the world". The sketch was inspired by Celine´s success in the wake of her number one Billboard Hot 100 hit "My heart will go on" in 1998. In the sketches, Celine would usually begin with a solo, adding exaggerated vocal gymnastics and trills to even the simplest of songs. Then, she would usually invite a musical guest to perform. However, soon into their performance, she would feel upstaged, and would start singing over top of them in a much louder voice, much to their displeasure. The sketch also features imitations of Celine´s husband and manager Rene Angelil, Shania Twain, Mariah Carey and Gloria Estefan. The sketch attracted the attention of Celine herself, who invited Gasteyer to perform the character in one of her concerts in 1998. "The Céline Dion Show" was broadcasted on March 7, 1998 (debuted) and on May 2, 1998 during episodes of "Saturday Night Live".

On December 31, 2010 they broadcasted a parody of the Celine Dion interview with Julie Snyder titled "Des nouvelles de Céline", originally aired on October 28, 2010 on TVA channel in Quebec, Canada. The sketch features Celine (imitated by Joël Legendre) about to give birth to the twins. Celine´s husband and manager, Rene Angelil (imitated by Louis Morissette) announces the birth will be directed by Franco Dragone. Celine Dion was imitated and parodied several times on the famous American animated sitcom "South Park", broadcasted on Comedy Central channel in USA. Intended for mature audiences, the show has become famous for its crude language and dark, surreal humor that lampoons a wide range of topics. On this sitcom, Celine appears as a Canadian character with their trademark pacman-style heads. In her debut appearance, she wears a purple, long sleeved shirt with her initials, "C.D.", written on the front. She is Caucasian and has a full head of brown hair. She also appears to have exaggerated eye lashes.

On April 1, 1998 they broadcasted their episode 1 of the second season, named "Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus", wich is a parody of the movie "Not Without My Daughter". On this episode, Terrance and Phillip (two of the characters) travel to Iran to rescue Terrance´s little daughter, Sally, who´s been held prisoner. Celine is revealed to be the ex-wife of Terrance, and the mother of their daughter, Sally. She has recently started an affair with Ugly Bob, whom she has never seen without a bag over his head. After Terrance rescues their daughter he wants to get back together with her. He reveals Ugly Bob´s true face to her. However Celine decides to stay with Ugly Bob on condition that he always wear the bag on his head. At the end of the episode, Celine discovers that she is pregnant with him, with a child they both hope will look like her. According to the credits in the episode, Celine is voiced by Trey Parker. Celine´s song "My heart will go on", is played in the episode 13 of the first season named "Cartman´s Mom Is a Dirty Slut", aired on February 25, 1998.

Celine Dion was mentioned once (not an appearance) on the famous American animated sitcom "The Simpsons", created by Matt Groening and aired on FOX channel in USA. The mention of Celine is from the sixth episode of the sixteenth season, aired on January 16, 2005. On this episode, the banner at the U.S.-Canadian border reads that Canada is now "Celine Dion Free", a reference to Celine moving to Las Vegas, USA to perform at the Colosseum of the Caesars Palace.

Celine Dion was parodied once on the famous American claymation television show "Celebrity Deathmatch", broadcasted on MTV channel in USA. The show depicts celebrities against each other in a wrestling ring. It was known for its excessive amount of blood used in every match and exaggerated physical injuries.

On October 15, 1998 they broadcasted their episode 11 of the first season, named "37th Annual Sci-Fi Fight Night". On this episode, Celine fights against Keith Flint. The fight wasn´t planned. Celine was singing the national anthem when Keith attacked her from behind. Keith Flint´s head is ripped off and eaten by Celine, who then reveals herself to be Zatar, the Alien.
