UNISON SPECIAL
On April 2, 1990 Celine Dion gave a special concert to celebrate the launch of the new album and her first English album entitled "Unison". The special show took place at the Metropolis, a famous bar in Montreal, Canada and the most popular disco of the city. Celine´s manager, Rene Angelil, organized a monster event that attracted thousands of fans, who clogged St. Catherine Street in Montreal. The most with-it radio stations in the city participated in the event, playing tracks from Celine´s first english language album all day long. That evening, Celine performed six songs from the album on the gigantic stage of the disco. She performed "If love is out the questions", "Have a heart", "Unison", "Where does my heart beat now" and "(If there was) Any other way". Rene had invited along Paul Burger, the president of Sony Music, and this time around the english language occupied the first place in Celine´s music and in her life. "Unison", was released on April 2, 1990, three years to the day after "Incognito", wich had now gone platinum three times over. This special concert was televised live by MusiquePlus channel, the Quebec equivalent of MTV channel in the USA. Inside the Metropolis, the atmosphere was charged with electricity thick enough to cut with a knife. Huge posters of Celine hung everywhere. It showed a close-up of her face in a serious pose, in black and white.
CONCERT IN MONTREAL
On October 23, 1990 Celine Dion performed at the Saint-Denis Theatre in Montreal, Canada with the "Unison Tour".
CONCERT IN QUEBEC
On December 6, 1990 Celine Dion performed at the Grand Theatre in Quebec City in Canada with the "Unison Tour". This was Celine´s first show in Quebec City with this tour, because since October 1990, Celine was performing in Montreal, at the Saint-Denis Theatre. Celine performed again in Quebec City with this tour on August 3, 1991 at the Vieux Port.
MUSIQUE PLUS SPECIAL
In 1990 Celine Dion gave an special concert in Quebec City in Canada, to help promote the new English album entitled "Unison". It was organized by Musique Plus, a Canadian-French language cable television specialty channel owned by Astral Media operating from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Celine performed "Unison", "(If there was) Any other way", "Lolita", "D´abord c´est quoi l´amour" and "Delivre moi". Celine also was interviewed by Sonia Benezra, who hosted the event.
