WALK OF FAME HOLLYWOOD
On January 6, 2004 Celine Dion received the 2,244th star on at the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the Kodak Theater, in Los Angeles, USA. Celine has sold over 155 million albums worldwide, making her one of the biggest female recording artist of all time. She previously had been scheduled to receive the star in March 2003 to coincide with the beginning of her three-year contract to perform at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA but the ceremony was postponed because of USA´s war in Iraq. Celine broke down in tears as she thanked her late father for being her "No. 1 fan" during the ceremony. "My dad was my No. 1 fan, and he still is", she said before nearly 1,000 fans, many of them shouting out their condolences. "How often do natural blondes from Quebec make it big in Hollywood?" comedian Jay Leno joked in introducing Celine. She thanked the "Tonight Show" host for inviting her to perform on his show 13 years ago, giving her a big break on American television. During the ceremony, Celine thanked her husband, Rene Angelil, for helping her launch her career and her fans for their support through the years. "Everything that I have today and where I am is because you put me here", she told the crowd. She rewarded many of them by signing autographs after the ceremony. After the ceremony, Celine was interviewed by the press and she posed to few photos.

On January 6, 2004 Celine Dion received the 2,244th star on at the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the Kodak Theater, in Los Angeles, USA. There, she was interviewed for a segment aired later on the famous weekday television entertainment news program "Access Hollywood" on NBC channel in USA.

On January 16, 2004 Celine Dion met a lucky fan named Kristen at her dressing room of the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA where she was performing with the show "A New Day...". The meeting took part right before one of the shows.

ON INTERVIEW
On January 20, 2004 Celine Dion appeared on interview during the one-hour news and entertainment magazine "Good Day Live", broadcasted on CH5 channel. The interview took place at Celine´s dressing room in the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA where she was performing with the show "A New Day...".

NEVADA BALLET THAEATRE
On January 24, 2004 Nevada Ballet Theatre honored Celine Dion as the 2004 Woman of the Year at the annual Black and White Ball. The event took place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA and was headed by Jacqueline Juliano, wife of Mark Juliano, president of Caesars Palace. The Black & White Ball is Nevada Ballet Theatre´s largest fundraiser. Each year the event honors a prominent "Woman of the Year", who has made a significant contribution to the performing arts, especially dance, and also has a connection to Las Vegas. The evening began at 6:00 pm with a private pre-reception with Celine hosted by the Julianos in a penthouse in the Palace Tower. Butlers passed silver trays of exquisite canapés and flutes of champagne, and martinis named after Celine´s hits. Celine was escorted by her husband Rene Angelil, and during the cocktail party graciously posed for pictures with the VIP guests. At 7:00 pm, the VIPs joined the 800 guests in the Palace Ballroom for the ball´s reception. The Pat Caddick Orchestra played throughout the evening. The Julianos welcomed all and introduced a video direct from Dion´s dressing room as she prepared for her evening show in the Colosseum. Generously sponsored by Cartier and Wells Fargo, Nevada Ballet Theatre´s Black & White Ball featured a four-course gourmet menu and dancing to an ensemble orchestra. There was a performance by NBT dancers, including principals Baris Erhan and Natalia Chapourskaya. After the dinner, the guests then were treated to a live video of Dion singing her hit "My heart will go on" as she closed her show. There was more entertainment while the audience awaited Celine´s arrival in the ballroom. The tribute to Celine began with a video by Oprah Winfrey. Celine was escorted into the ballroom by Nevada Ballet Theatre´s little ballerinas. As she sat onstage, Celine was entertained by Clint Holmes and Sheena Easton. Nancy Houssels and the Cartier representatives presented Dion with the 2004 Woman of the Year award, a crystal ballerina statue. Neil Sedaka, a surprise addition to the entertainment lineup, joined Clint Holmes, Sheena Easton, Stefanie Powers and Billy Gilman at the event.

On January 25, 2004 Celine Dion celebrated her son´s 3rd birthday and for this ocasion Celine, and her husband Rene Angelil, gave to Rene Charles an special birthday party. Family and friend were reunited to celebrate in this theme party of children famous cartoon, "Bob, The Buildrer". The cake had "Bob, The Buildrer" form, and a very big doll of Bob was animating the party.

VIDEO MESSAGE
On January 29, 2004 Celine Dion appeared on the famous American syndicated talk show "The Oprah Winfrey Show", hosted and produced by its namesake Oprah Winfrey, and broadcasted on Syndicated channel. During this episode, Celine appered on a special video message that she sent to her friend Oprah for her birthday. The video message was made at Celine´s dressing room in the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA where she was performing with the show "A New Day...".

On January 30, 2004 Celine Dion made a surprise appearance at the Oprah Winfrey´s 50th Birthday Luncheon, wich took place in Los Angeles, USA. Celine sang "Because you loved me" specially for Oprah and a special reendition of "Happy birthday". Extracts were broadcasted at Oprah TV show "The Oprah Winfrey Show" the following February 6, 2004 on Syndicated channel. Note that Celine then came back to Las Vegas, USA for her show "A New Day..." on Friday night but she had to stop after about 40 minutes. Experiencing a shortness of breath, she had to rest at home during the 4 following days.
